Travel Tours launches forex website

Gayatri Vijaykumar - Mumbai

Bangalore-based Travel Tours has launched a one-stop foreign exchange website www.traveltoursfx.com. Shravan Gupta, MD, Travel Tours said, "The forex business is an important part of our portfolio. The website is a significant value addition to our existing and prospective clients."

According to him, the forex division contributes between 10 to 12 per cent of the total business. "With the fair amount of liberalisation that has taken place, international travel has increased and this website would assist Indian travellers. Through the website we have introduced a lot of features which will help the traveller and the corporate desk," said Gupta.

The website provides a comprehensive range of features such as currency converters which can convert any currency into the desired local currency, historical rate cards which store an archive with all the earlier currency rates with over eighty-five currencies of different nationalities stored, travel expense calculator wherein travellers can file their expense reports after an international trip, a cheat sheet to help holiday travellers quickly convert exchange rates, and an online ordering facility which will help customers to order foreign exchange for their travel.

Travel Tours has also launched Travel Air Representation, a B2B and Tourism marketing division. "We already have a fair number of representations including GTA, Cobra, Club Med, etc which we will market through the B2B channel. We will also help other tourism-related companies to market through the channel," said Gupta.
