KTM: An ideal platform
Kerala is India's leading tourism destination, whether it
is for ayurvedic treatments, adventure, the backwaters, monsoon tourism, houseboats,
spice plantation or spirituality. With this as the background, the Kerala Travel
Mart (KTM) that will be held in Kochi between September 20-23, 2008 is an ideal
platform for buyers and sellers to discover a wide range of tourism products
and services available in God's Own Country.
Since its inception in 2000, KTM has received an overwhelming response. Organised
by the state's tourism trade in association with the government, the event is
a positive example of a fruitful public-private partnership. In 2006, the event
had a footfall of more than 850 buyers in addition to the participation of over
55 countries.
The event will showcase a variety of products including airlines,
adventure tour operators, amusement parks, ayurveda centres, backwater resorts
and cruise operators, car/coach rentals, ground handling agents, houseboat operators,
heritage tour operators, home-stays, hoteliers, MICE operators, monsoon tour
operators, hospital/healthcare providers, plantation tour operators, jungle
resorts, travel agents, tour operators, wildlife safari organisers, wedding
and honeymoon operators.
Hosted buyer programmes and singular buyer incentives could be availed in this
year's KTM.
