New Zealand has appointed Kiran Nambiar as its regional manager,
for India and South East Asia. Based in Mumbai, Nambiar will be responsible
for delivering the 100% Pure New Zealand marketing campaign in India, Thailand,
Singapore & Malaysia. This includes effective management of all Tourism
New Zealand marketing activities in the region and facilitating the growth
of New Zealand arrivals from the region. Consolidating existing relationships
with airlines and key trade partners is also an integral part of his new
role |

Global, the visa processing company handling back end visa processing work
for the diplomatic missions worldwide has appointed Raghavendra Joshi
to head the Information Technology function. In his capacity as vice president
and head of its IT function, Joshi will be responsible for providing leadership
to IT while aligning it closely to the Business initiatives and Service
Delivery. Prior to this appointment, he worked in YES bank where he served
as senior vice president (Retail and Direct Banking), Information Technology |
oneworld,
a global airline alliance, has appointed Moshe Levertov as the new
vice-president for IT and Cost Reduction. Reporting to oneworld managing
partner John McCulloch, he will lead the alliance's IT activities along
with its cost reduction projects.
Prior to this appointment, Levertov served as vice-president
(Airport Hubs) of airline industry IT supplier, SITA

| Emirates Airline, the Dubai-based
international airline, has strengthened its operations in Western India
with the successive appointments of Sajid Khan as the new sales manager
for Western India, and Paresh Marrott as the new airport services manager
for Emirates' flight operations.
Based in Mumbai, Khan will be responsible for managing
sales operations for Western India. Prior to this appointment, Khan worked
with Air France-KLM Royal Dutch Airlines where he was the sales manager
for the merged entity

| Jet Airways has appointed Duncan
Gambrill as general manager for the United Kingdom and Ireland, based
at the airline's corporate office in London. Gambrill brings with him13
years of experience with agency, airline and corporate clients. Prior to
joining Jet Airways, Gambrill was vice president, Head of Travel for EMEA
at JP Morgan, based in London. A British national, Gambrill has an MBA from
Cass Business School and a BA (Hons) degree in History from the University
of London |
Virgin
Atlantic Airways has appointed Michael Burke as the new general manager
for India. Prior to this, Burke served as the country manager for Virgin
Atlantic Airways in China. Burke will be responsible for the management
and operations of the Virgin Atlantic Airways in India. He will also focus
on strategic corporate initiatives and business development for the brand,
thus strengthening the airline's position in the country with the support
of his team |
| The International Air Transport
Association (IATA) has announced the appointment of Royal Jordanian Airlines
CEO, Samer Majali as the chairman of the IATA Board of Governors.
Majali succeeds Fernando Pinto, CEO of TAP Portugal who served as chairman
from June 2007. Majali, is a 29-year veteran of the air transport industry
who has served as CEO of Royal Jordanian since 2001.
IATA has also appointed Tony Tyler, CEO of Cathay
Pacific to serve as chairman following Majali, commencing in June 2009.
Tyler will bring a unique perspective from Asia-Pacific, which is fast
emerging as the largest aviation market in the world

Wagonlit Travel (CWT) appointed Marc Karako to the position of executive
vice president and chief financial officer, effective July 1, 2008. Based
in Paris, he will report to Douglas Anderson, CWT president and chief executive
officer, and serve as a member of the global executive team |
