HospitalityWorld Bengaluru proves a huge success

The biggest-ever hospitality tradeshow in the country, HospitalityWorld Bengaluru, held at Karnataka Trade Promotion Organisation (KTPO) from June 19 to 21, proved to be a big hit. The event witnessed a huge turnout with approximately 5,386 visitors from various parts of the country and 208 exhibitors across all categories. The event also saw a record number of 128 hosted buyers. The tradeshow was inaugurated by Murugesh R Nirani, Minister for Large and Medium Scale Industries, Government of Karnataka. Also present were principal secretary of tourism, Subir Hari Singh, and Vinay Luthra, MD of Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC).

Addressing the press conference, the industry minister said, "Events like HospitalityWorld offer great opportunities not only to the hospitality sector but to the industry at large because they evoke interest amongst the trade fraternity and generate business. On our part, we will ensure that such events are well represented with full support from the government."

Theme pavilions like F&B World, BakeryWorld and Spa & Wellness World were showcased. There was also an exclusive international pavilion showcasing worldwide trends. On the sidelines of HospitalityWorld, Express Hospitality held pioneering events focusing chiefly on the chef community, the spa and the wine industry. At the IFCA Chefs Forum & Bengaluru Chapter AGM, many chefs from various hotels in the southern region came together and discussed the various avenues wherein the community can synergise and take the forum IFCA international. Meanwhile, Cooking with Bengaluru Chefs witnessed chefs from leading hotels in the city presenting their specialty dishes. Attractions like Spa & Wellness 360 degrees, Live Cooking with Turkish Hazelnuts and Wine Appreciation Forum drew a crowd as well.
