AVIAREPS chosen as Indian representative for NYC & Co

ETW STAFF - Mumbai

After ten years of successful co-operation, New York City & Company has chosen AVIAREPS as its representatives in India. AVIAREPS, a leading airline and tourism representative has been working as the agency of NYC & Company in the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, and Scandinavia, Russia, as well as in Germany (AVIAREPS Mangum) and in the United Kingdom (Hills Balfour Synergies). With immediate effect, AVIAREPS located in Mumbai-India - will now handle all destination marketing and public relation activities on behalf of NYC & Company.

"We are very delighted to represent New York City in India. With this new appointment, AVIAREPS will contribute to strengthening the position of New York City, not only as a gateway city to the United States but also as the leading travel destination in the Indian market," said Joseph Fernandes, general manager-India of AVIAREPS. With the rapid growth in the Indian economy, travel to New York has been on the rise, going from 80,600 Indian visitors in 2002 to 107,000 in 2006. This makes India among the most important markets in the campaign to achieve New York City Mayor Michael R Bloomberg's goal of welcoming 50 million visitors annually by 2015.
