Air India
P K Gupta has taken over as executive director - sales and marketing (passenger) for Air India
Abu Dhabi Airports Company
Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) Board has appointed Rudy Vercelli to the role of CEO. Vercelli will become ADAC's first CEO reporting to the Board of Directors. As part of his new role, Vercelli will direct a major development plan for expanding the overall airport infrastructure at Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

Vercelli brings with him exceptional experience in aviation and airport management, following a successful career in developing and managing growing airports, including Doha, Buenos Aires and Bombay International

British Airways
Nepali Gandhi has been appointed as the manager of trade sales for India based in Mumbai. Having started her career with British Airways in 1993 as a customer service agent at Mumbai airport, she was soon entrusted with the responsibility of a passenger services manager. Over the last seven years she has been part of the commercial team and prior to this appointment was the trade sales team leader for India. Gandhi is a BSC in Chemistry from St Xavier's College, Mumbai and has also completed two years of Law from Government Law College
Anjali Puri has been appointed as the corporate sales manager for India. She will now be responsible for all sales activities related to the Corporate Channel in India. Prior to this appointment, Anjali was key account manager - corporate sales based in Bangalore since October2005. She has been with British Airways for nine years and has held key positions in a wide variety of functions ranging from ITSSG and Reservations to front line sales. Puri is also a History graduate from LSR, Delhi University
EGSAC

Glauco Martinelli, president of EGSAC, who is to retire from his post on May 1st, will be succeeded by current vice-president,
Ton Smulders, who is also the managing director of EGSAC's Dutch member, Active Airline Representatives.

An election will take place shortly among all EGSAC members, for the appointment of a new
vice-president

SriLankan Airlines
The government of Sri Lanka has appointed a new chairman and directors for SriLankan Airlines, with immediate effect.
Dr P B Jayasundera has been appointed chairman, and Nishantha Wickremasinghe, Lalith De Silva and Sunil Wijesinha have been appointed as nominee directors to represent the government which holds a 51.05 per cent stake in the company. The Emirates Airline holding of 43.63 per cent shares will be represented by Tim Clark, Gary Chapman and Nigel Hopkins
Tiger Airways
Tiger Airways has appointed Soh Keng Taan as chief information officer. Taan will plan and deliver Tiger Airways' IT vision and strategic agenda for the region to meet the carrier's
info-communications needs for its rapid route network expansion and business growth. Taan is responsible for taking the company's IT systems and capabilities, infrastructure and IT support services to the next level across the Asia Pacific region. Keng Taan will also oversee all aspects of supplier/customer contacts, ensuring the financial viability of IT in line with Tiger's LCC business model
Garuda Indonesia
Garuda Indonesia has announced the appointment of Melania Rusli to the role of tariffs & schedules assistant, providing support to the National Tariffs & Schedules Coordinator, Vanessa Booth. Indonesian-born and now a New Zealand citizen, Melania has been in the tourism and travel industry since 1992 and has had extensive training in fares and ticketing, as well as in the distribution and loading of fares. Having worked for Garuda Indonesia in Auckland for nine years, Melania is also familiar with the airline's systems
