Indian Aviation Academy to open four institutes

Indian Aviation Academy, a division of Aero Indian Aviation
Services, is in the process of launching four new aviation training institutes
in the country. The group forayed into the international market last year by
opening IAA Flying Academy at Ras-Al-Khaimah International Airport, UAE, will
be opening four new campuses in India this year. In an exclusive interview with
Express AviationWorld Rizwan Kadri, founder and chairman, Indian Aviation Academy,
disclosed, "The aviation sector in the country is growing at a rapid pace
and thus the demand for manpower in the sector is enormous. Keeping this in
mind, we have decided to expand our operations and open aviation institutes
in tier-I and fast growing tier-II cities of the country." Indian aviation
academy is already present in Mumbai and Nasik.
The group has already zeroed-in on Goa, Chennai, Bangalore and Ahmedabad. Besides
metros like New Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai, the group is also looking at other
promising cities like Greater Noida (where an international airport is expected
to be developed), Pune and Chandigarh Indian Aviation Academy offers programmes
in commercial pilot license, cabin crew and in-flight services, airline passenger
services and airport management, ramp and cargo operations, basic flight dispatch,
aviation security awareness, aviation management, airline fares and e-ticketing
and load control (weight and balance) etc. Further, on demand it also conducts
courses in dangerous goods handling, ramp safety and basic aerospace engineering.
It also plans to launch an MBA programme in aviation.
