Charson Advisory keen on South American, UK representations

Chetan Kapoor - Mumbai

Charson Advisory, a brand-marketing, representation and destination marketing services company is in talks with the public relations firms of certain South American and UK tourism boards for associations in the country, confirmed Carl Vaz, its chairman and CEO. "We have been handling the Dubai Tourism Development Corporation (DTDC) for the past 11 years and are looking at an association with some South American tourism boards so as to have value add-ons for those visiting Dubai," he said while speaking to Express TravelWorld. In case of the UK, the company aims to extend services via export strategies and add professional talent with the human resources available in the company, mentioned Vaz.

In addition to the DTDC, the company also represents the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), 50 hotels and villas in Bali and the tourism attraction of Siam Niramit, the world's largest theatre located in Thailand. "We have garnered these businesses in the last two-three months and are dedicated to offering our 360-degree services to the travel and hospitality industry. We hope to add more names to our kitty by representing certain regions and have exclusivity with the tourism authority so as to have no conflict and provide dedicated services of brand management, representation and public relations," stated Vaz.

Charson Advisory is also in the process of re-launching the Dubai e-mail newsletter and the web portal, www.friendsofdubai.com for the travel trade. For TAT, it would be focussing on cinema destinations.
