Cox and King's meta-search site, ezeego1.com would
also be participating at the ITB Berlin this year. "We are focussing
a lot on ITB Berlin and will be on the lookout for good buyers in order
to attract more people to visit India," said Neelu Singh, COO, ezeego1.com.
The portal is also expanding its offline presence by opening retail stores.
"Online travel is the next big thing. However, to service the online
customer better, we have designed the Ezeego travel shop which is an alternative
channel for booking and will enable the customer to interact with travel
counsellors on a personal level," she said.

We are looking at a better ITB this year. India
is doing extremely well on the inbound tourism front and created history
last year as the partner country. Keeping this in mind, people will have
a lot of expectations and buyers will be expecting better products too.
We are going as a team from Kerala and hope to showcase new and upcoming
products, including medical tourism. Our initial marketing efforts will
focus on developing properties in Bekal and the tea valley resorts. We
also plan to develop new and upcoming destinations within Kerala.

I have been attending the ITB for the last three
years and have found it a very useful and important venue to improve international
contacts. This year Swosti Travels has taken an independent stall as we
are expecting a large number of visitors, especially those interested
in our tour packages. I will be personally present at the ITB not only
as a seller but also as a buyer of various other products in the field
of Tourism, Communications, Mass Media, and other service providers and
am hoping that this year will be better as we are taking up a larger space.
Swosti Travel specialises in eco-friendly and tribal
tours, we also market conventions as Swosti Plaza has the largest convention
hall in Eastern India. We not only do inbound in Orissa but are also handling
Bengal and the North East. Of late we have grown as one of the largest
outbound tour operators from Eastern India with tours to Europe and the
South East Asia as our main focus.

The whole world meets at ITB Berlin - people working
in the travel industry as well as people who want to catch up on the most
beautiful travel destinations. The combination of trade exhibitions, public
exhibitions and the biggest professional convention worldwide attracts
tens of thousands of visitors, exhibitors and media representatives every
year. At the same time, they form the basis for the development of new
ideas, global approaches and targeted marketing.
Indian travel agents should also have a mission
to present the culture, customs and traditions, cuisine, history and vast
beauty of India to the world through an inimitable customised journey.
I am of the opinion that the world's largest travel trade show will live
up to its reputation as the industry's leading international platform.

As seen in the past years, this year too, India
will make a big splash at ITB Berlin. Inbound tourism has flourished in
the past few years, in a large way thanks to the pro-active and strong
approach of the tourism ministry. The Incredible India campaign was brilliantly
conceived and carried out, and that has gone a long way in promoting India
as a superior and unique tourism destination. The ITB is a market leader
among the world's tourism events and is an important platform for the
tourism industry, with India enjoying a special focus. ITB Berlin is the
perfect B2B platform for trade visitors - an excellent opportunity for
tour operators, carriers, hotels and all other suppliers who want to entice
their customers, besides also contributing towards brightening the scope
of business.

Around 40 percent of the market share for ayurveda
comes from Germany. We would hence like to target FITs from Germany and
showcase our ayurvedic products. We are also coming out with a luxury
spa which would also provide ayurvedic treatments. Hence, the main product
that we would showcase would be ayurveda.
