Sreedhari Ayurvedic Resort: In tune with nature

Being India's most advanced and literate society, Kerala also enjoys a world-class health care system. The countryside scattered with undulating paddy fields, swaying coconut palms, cool backwaters and palm fringed lagoons, the setting looks perfect for a peaceful sojourn in the lap of nature. Against the backdrop of small hills and dales, amidst the greenery and tranquility of this beautiful countryside nestles the Sreedhari Ayurvedic Resorts.

Sreedhari Ayurvedic Resort symbolises a continuing tradition of ayurvedic healthcare service-one that began nearly 70 years ago with the inception of the Sreedhari group. An established name in ayurvedic treatment and production of ayurvedic medicines, Sreedhari group is the driving force behind this venture. The resort is ideally located on a verdant stretch of land, flanked by the serene water of Peechi River. The cottages, treatment room, dispensary and office buildings are all so designed as to preserve the natural beauty of the locale. The greenery of the site has been left untouched and the buildings blend unobtrusively with the sylvan surroundings. The resort is a perfect hideaway for those who seek a respite from the strenuous pace of modern existence to rejuvenate the body and mind in idyllic tranquil environs.

Unlike other branches of medicine, ayurvedic system of treatment has no harmful side effects. One of the specialities of ayurveda is the rejuvenation therapy, which is a promotive treatment that slows down the ageing process by containing fatigues, drowsiness, excess of sleep and weakness. It bestows stability upon the body by strengthening the degenerating muscles and improves memory intelligence, appetite, complexion and voice.

All the treatments are carried out after consultation with and under the supervision of the chief physicians. Yoga classes are conducted at the resort as a supplementary programme and interested inmates can take part in these sessions.

The resort is spread over a sprawling riverside plot, under the canopy offered by the lush growth of coconut palms, nutmeg trees and a variety of medicinal herbs. The cottages overlooking the river provide comfortable single as well as shared accommodation. The catering wing at the resort serves as delectable vegetarian fare in the traditional Kerala style.
