Category : Best Premier Hotel Brand
Winner : ITC Hotels

Anil Malik
GM, ITC Luxury Collection, The Grand Central, Mumbai

Our joy has been doubled with even our heritage brand, WelcomHeritage, winning the Best Heritage Hotel Brand award. Be it the luxury brand (ITC Hotels), heritage brand (WelcomHeritage) or for that matter the budget brand (Fortune Park), we try to offer the best possible services across all segments. Awards like these help a group in evaluating its product and see how it has fared in the last one year. I am delighted that we have lived up to our own expectations and that of our customers.

Our ITC Sheraton properties in Bangalore, New Delhi, Agra, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Kolkata have recently been re-flagged under the Luxury Collection brand that has 58 exclusive properties in 25 countries, which is seen as a remarkable achievement for not only our group but also for the country. This also highlights India's potential to have the best of brands and world hospitality standard. As for future plans, we will keep on increasing our portfolio by building the right property at the right location. The Galileo Express TravelWorld awards will drive us further to continue offering the best possible services to our guests.

ITC's Hotel division was launched on October 18, 1975, with the opening of its first hotel - Chola Sheraton in Chennai. ITC - Welcomgroup Hotels, Palaces and Resorts is today one of India's finest hotel chains, and with its distinctive logo of hands folded in the traditional Namaste is widely recognised as the ultimate in Indian hospitality.
