Segmentation is the trend

Category : Best Domestic Tour Operator
Winner : Kesari Tours

Veena Patil,
Director, Kesari Tours

Any recognition boosts morale. We have been nominated all these years but receiving the award itself is a purely different feeling. The award will boost my team to do and achieve more in the future.

Winning this award will help us get from being better to becoming the best. For Kesari, starting with domestic tours and moving to outbound has been a journey of achievements as well as failures. We are proud to represent and promote our country in whatever way we can and with the number of products that India has to offer, nobody can beat us. We are preparing to become the best in the world with infrastructure now falling into place.

Recently, when I was at the World Travel Mart in London there were talks of segmentation in tourism and how it needs to be implemented along with the benefits it yields. I was the only person who stood up to proudly announce that we in India had already implemented it successfully. We have proved to the world that Indians can think beyond. They are the only ones with true courage and capacity to work towards the future. What the world is planning to do has already been achieved in India and segmentation is an example of the same.

Kesari Tours pioneered honeymoon packages and now with its women, senior citizens and student and kids segments, we are getting into the niche areas. It has been proved that segmentation creates more travel and we will surely cash in on this opportunity. The immediate plan for us is to further specialise in segmentation. It feels good to see that equal efforts are being made from all parties.
