GSSA Active Airline Representatives
Amsterdam-based cargo GSSA Active Airline Representatives, the Dutch member of the EGSAC network, has appointed Edward Heijsteeg as sales manager. The appointment is part of a programme to intensify Active's sales drive for client carriers including Leisure Cargo, Aeroflot and Coyne Airways.

Prior to this appointment, Heijsteej was a part of Dragonair, where he was responsible for cargo sales in the Netherlands and liaising with the airline's GSSAs across Europe

Schiphol Group
Maarten de Groof was recently appointed Chief Commercial Officer of the Schiphol Group. As of February 2008, De Groof will become a member of the statutory Board of Management of the group, and will be responsible for Schiphol Group's commercial activities; in particular the Consumer and Real Estate business areas.

Prior to this appointment, De Groof was CEO and Chairman of ABN AMRO Insurances, besides having worked in ICT for 15 years, and before that for IBM, as an independent entrepreneu

AMI
AMI - UK's largest airfreight wholesaler - has appointed Pat Walsh as general manager of its Express division, which is based at London Heathrow. As part of his immediate role, Walsh's major focus will be joining in AMI's "cross-selling" campaign, in which all the company's various services will be introduced to its combined customer bases.

Prior to this appointment, Walsh held the position of Global Courier, Mail & Express Manager for UK airline BMI, besides having held a variety of management positions for various established operators

Malaysia Airlines North India Region
Amit Mehta has been appointed Sales Manager for Malaysia Airlines - North India region.

With a Masters Diploma in Business Administration, he brings with him an experience of eight years in sales. In his new role, Mehta will be responsible for augmenting the airline's operation in the North Market.

Prior to this appointment, Mehta served as an assistant manager - sales to the airline
