Taj Tours plans special packages for festive season

Andrea Lopez - Mumbai

Tour operator Taj Tours London, popular with the NRI segment, has planned packages to Europe for the year-end festive season in November and December. Titled 'Italian Jewels' and 'Scenic Switzerland', the six-day tour packages promise to take visitors to all the popular cities in the two countries.

Speaking to Express TravelWorld, Clement Aaron, its vice president for Asia Pacific and Middle East region, said, "Europe is still the most favoured destination for Indians and we want to keep this momentum going. Airfares to Europe have dipped and the number of flights have increased. Moreover, procuring a visa to any of the European countries has become simpler." He added, "Since seasoned travellers look out for shorter tour packages, our immediate focus is on this segment."

Currently, Taj Tours operates through its network of appointed travel agents and is looking to extend its reach to the northern markets in the country. Only last year did it venture into the northeastern region of the country. Says Aaron, "We are looking to expand our base of PSAs in north India and welcome potential partners for the same." Apart from India, Taj is also eyeing the Chinese and the Russian market.
