Flybe signs contract with Galileo

EAW Staff

Flybe, Europe's largest regional carrier, has signed a three year full content deal with Galileo, a leading global distribution system (GDS) and subsidiary of Travelport. As a result of the agreement, all Flybe's fares and inventory will continue to be made available to users of the Galileo GDS system. Stephen Hobday, head of sales at Flybe commented: "Our renewal of the full content agreement endorses our commitment to both Galileo and the travel trade. Flybe is unique in the low cost sector for its universal distribution and our recent acquisition of BA Connect has made our preferred GDS partnerships with Galileo even more significant."

Patrick Lukan, general manager of Galileo, UK & Ireland commented, "This latest deal supersedes the agreement we signed with Flybe a year ago and includes the former BA Connect routes. We are delighted to be able to build on our previous agreement with Flybe and help them reach their distribution and revenue objectives. Travel agents will really benefit from this agreement as it means they will continue to have access to Flybe's lowest fares straight from their Galileo desktop." Galileo has already announced a number of full content agreements this year, including; British Airways, Iberia, Southwest, Aeroflot and Brussels Airlines.
