Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) will witness a
special convention this year.

Ambika Soni, Union Minister for Tourism & Culture, has
been associated with the Congress since the early seventies,
when she was a student leader. Later, she headed the Youth
Congress and held many important positions in the Congress.
After more than three decades in politics, she became a minister
for the first time when the UPA government came to power at
the Centre, and was given charge of tourism & culture.
