MSC Cruises sails on the Adriatic
MSC Cruises that had recently added MSC Orchestra to its fleet, finished a
seven-day cruise from the queen of the Adriatic, Venice on June 30 and took
the cruise covering the cities of Bari (Italy), Kotakalon (Greece) Izimir (Turkey),
Iatanbul (Turkey) and Dubrovnik (Croatia) before returning to Venice.
The 89,600 ton MSC Orchestra can accommodate 3,013 guests in 1,275 cabins, the
majority of which have balconies. It offers first-class facilities, including
five restaurants, 10 bars, two of which are open-air and three meeting and conference
rooms. Other facilities include a Turkish bath, golf simulator, three swimming
pools, interconnecting cabins on selected cruises plus six interactive kiosks
where guests can book shore excursions and download photographs from cameras
or mobile phones. It also has a chocolate bar.
Minister for Tourism & Culture Ambika Soni was also a part of the cruise.
MSC Cruises is in its first year of operations in India and, according to the
cruise company, Soni was among the first Indians to sail onboard its latest
flagship MSC Orchestra along with 2,900 other passengers.
