MoT plans to put medical tourism on e-commerce platform
ETW Staff - Mumbai
The ministry of tourism proposes to place medical tourism on its recently launched
e-commerce platform amongst other niche tourism products on its website www.incredibleindia.org.
This initiative aims to facilitate customers to communicate directly with agencies,
tour operators, hotels and Bed & Breakfast establishments 24-hour a day.
Ambika Soni, minister for tourism & culture, government of India said that
while it is important for us to woo more tourists to this country through powerful
global campaigns, it is equally important to continue the focus on upgrading
and improving the quality of infrastructure on ground.
The ministry will integrate third party consolidators and
multiple partners through eviivo's technology.
