Sartha Marketing Consultants to represent San Francisco Airport

Jyoti Koul - New Delhi

New Delhi-based tourism marketing company, Sartha Marketing Consultants, set up three months ago, has bagged two overseas clients. It has been appointed to represent the San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau as well as the San Francisco International Airport in India.

According to Sheema Vohra, its director, this will be the first US tourism representation in India. "We are also organising the first TIA (Travel Industry Association of America) India Mission in September this year in Mumbai and New Delhi," she said. Sartha will work to promote San Francisco to the travel trade, consumers, media and airlines. It will also work with airlines to encourage new services to San Francisco, generate press coverage for the region and assist the travel trade with information to help generate increased bookings. This includes business travel, technical visits and convention attendance as well as the rapidly growing leisure travel market.

Deborah Reinow, vice president (Tourism) for San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau mentioned that its representation in India will heighten the awareness of San Francisco's many attractions. Elaborating on the objectives of her company, Vohra said that the main aim is to provide marketing services to international tourism, hospitality and aviation companies that want to do business in India. Currently, the company is in talks with more international companies.
