The Official Voice Of ETAA

ETAA looks to trade for setting up regional chapters

Reema Sisodia - Mumbai

Enterprising Travel Agents Association (ETAA) has announced that it will set up regional chapters across India, one of which will come up in Bangalore in the next three months. It will be headed by Shafi Ahmed, managing director of Seair Travels & Trade.

Speaking about this new initiative, Ahmed said, "We read about ETAA and its plans in the Express TravelWorld issue and decided to get in touch with the publication and get the required information. Express TravelWorld was instrumental in providing us with the right contacts and has been the catalyst in helping us take this initiative forward. We contacted ETAA's president and received overwhelming support from him. My team is working hard to get complete data before we officially launch the chapter."

Meanwhile, the president, Karl Dantas, said that the initiative taken by Express TravelWorld has helped ETAA move ahead. He added, "I hope other sub-agents reading this will get in touch with us so that we can strengthen our base and set up chapters in other regions as well. Today, the industry is going through a lot of changes and more the fraternity unites to discuss and solve issues on a common platform, the better it is for the trade."
