Majorda Beach Resort: Luxurious ambience
 Majorda
Beach Resort is situated on a 26 km stretch of soft white sand in South Goa.
It is 15 minutes from Dabolim International Airport and 10 minutes from Margao
Railway Station. It has the distinction of being the first ISO-9001-2000 certified
resort in India. The property offers 120 spacious rooms including 10 cottages
and suites, spread over 22 acres of lush green landscape, with luxurious ambience.
Each of these rooms offers a private balcony, with spectacular views of either
the ocean or the tropical gardens. The rooms have individually controlled air-conditioning,
luxurious baths, satellite television, free in-house movies, international direct
dialing and a well-stocked mini-bar. Facilities like tea/coffee maker, hair
dryer and safe in the rooms. Wi-Fi facility for the corporate traveller is also
available.
Chandrakanth S Sangawar, vice president and general manager,
says, "In Goa the monsoons are very friendly. It hardly rains throughout
the day and since the state is not concretised, the natural drainage system
prevents water clogging."
The resort also has a spa, jacuzzi, discotheque, steam and
sauna and casino. With two swimming pools one indoor and the other outdoor,
the guests do not have to worry about taking a dip. Sangawar adds, "We
are the only hotel to have two swimming pools to cater all seasons. The guests
can enjoy either of them."
