Whispering Palms Goa: A blend of old world charm and modern hospitality

Ensconced between the Aguada foothills and a tiny hamlet Candolim, lies this boutique beach resort. Set in picture-postcard surroundings, acres of sandy beaches and miles of privacy, Whispering Palms offers a blend of Portuguese heritage and contemporary comfort.

Whispering Palms is a quaint mix of old world charm and modern hospitality. It is synonymous with warmth and traditional Indian hospitality. It is an oasis of hushed luxury, at its vibrancy and colour. The poolside, brimming with colourful bougainvillea flowers is the focal point of this friendly resort. Live music is played on the terrace most evenings, making dining 'al-fresco' a truly delightful experience. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable, offering convenient access to the village of Candolim. The beach is a short walk from the hotel gardens. "All Inclusive", the no holds barred concept offers an array of cuisines ranging from Goan, Continental, Sea food, Chinese and Tandoori delicacies. The deal also provides for unlimited flow of spirits and beer (house brands) from 1100 till 2300 hours.

Jacob John, general manager, says, "Monsoon is a great time to be in Goa. One can use this season to enjoy the rains and even leverage on the discount factor that is offered by most hotels. During monsoons we have present a mock Indian wedding which the foreigners long to see and experience and also Indian cultural festivals." A few lazy laps in the azure pool, a leisurely walk through the village, or a day's indulgence on the beach, are the perfect antidotes for an otherwise hectic lifestyle. There are also theme evenings, buffets, barbecues, live entertainment and hordes of other activities.
