Nestled near the foothills of the Sahya Mountains, encircled by acres of lush succulent greenery, Konni is a good 150 km drive from Kochi. Thanks to the Kerala government's new eco-tourism project, this previously non-descript town has now earned prominence as one of the landmarks on the tourism map of Kerala.

Acres of thick forests with wild animals have made Konni a unique destination for avid backpackers. Another attraction is Kattathipara in Kokkathodu, which is a few kilometres away from Konni. Kattathipara is particularly attractive with its gigantic rocks and the triple-echo phenomenon. The enormous array of rock that tell the legend of a hunter and his mistress attract hordes of tourist every year. Anakoodu where wild pachyderms are tamed is another must see.There are two ancient forest temples - Achankovil and Aluvankudi.

Surprisingly Contour Jungle Resort is the only resort in Konni. Around 13 kms of rough ride from Konni main road will take you to the resort. You can also leg it out to the ancient Parakulam temple situated in the thick forest. This temple is just 4 kms away from the resort. Palaruvi and Thenmala waterfalls have also caught the tourist's fancy over the years.
