Goa is planning to promote its Virgin Islands as the country's major adventure tourism spot, a concept popular in neighbouring island countries, Sri Lanka and Maldives.

Tourists visiting Goa on chartered flights from abroad will be able to stay in the state for over four weeks from the next tourist season, said Goa Tourism minister, Wilfred de Souza.
