Mother's choice for Mother's Day at UDS
UDS,
the resort at Kovalam known for its innovative events, celebrated Mother's Day
by offering free lunch or dinner to mothers and a special 20 per cent discount
on food for the family members accompanying them
On May 8, 2006 special invitees from different regions and nations presented
their fabulous recipes and dishes in the presence of tourists, the media and
other dignitaries. The special invitees were mothers who had excellent skills
in cooking dishes with creative and enriching recipes. UDS executive chef Deepak
T Das and his team also had a interactive session with the mothers. "These
recipes will continue for the next 3 months as our specialty menu in all our
outlets. It was really a treat to watch and the best thing out of this is, it
proved that mothers are still the best cooks in the world", says Raja Gopaal
Iyer, corporate director, UDS Kovalam.
Some of the recipes prepared by the mothers were Pineapple Delight, Karela Punchamrutha,
Cabbage Pathra, German Potato Salad, Caramel Chew Pudding, Masaledar Sevian
and Shahi Arbi Johol.
