Wingspan Holidays to offer Russian cruises in India

Reema Sisodia - Mumbai

Mumbai-based Wingspan Holidays is set to offer Russian cruises in the Indian market. The company has been named the official representative of White Night cruises, which will be made available for the first time in India from June end to September 2006. The company will provide various options for cruise holidays offering both short term and long term cruises within Russia.

There are various itineraries to choose from namely from Moscow to St Petersburg via the Golden Ring covering smaller cities like Kizhi, Goritsy, Uglich and Varoslavl. These cruises are in the nature of four-star and five-star luxury cruises and the target audience is the high-end FIT traveller.

According to Tasneem Udaipurwala, general manager, Wingspan Holidays, "We have been Russian specialist for long and by introducing this product in the Indian market we are only reinforcing this fact. We had received inquires from particular section of the society for these cruises, which till now were not available in the Indian market, as it was impossible to find a place on these liners as it has been completely dominated by the US market. With our intervention and deal we have managed to offer cabins to the Indian traveller and also be a one-stop shop for all their travel plans regarding Russia. Our strategy for promoting this product would be both B2B as well as direct marketing. We are planning to increase our bouquet of products in the cruise business and we would also like to diversify our product by touching destinations in Scandinavia."
