FHA2006
More international participation at FHA2006
One
of the region's largest food and hospitality events in Asia, FHA2006 (Food &
HotelAsia2006), has garnered an enthusiastic response from international exhibitors
this year. To be held from April 25-28 at the Singapore Expo, the event will
have participation from over 40 country groups for this year's show, with 15
groups already confirmed including Greece and Cyprus, who are first-timers at
FHA.
Kyriakos Mbrios, president, Cyprus Association of Frozen Food said, "Cyprus
will be bringing its first national pavilion to Asia at FHA in Singapore this
April. FHA has proven to be the largest and most international show in Asia
and, therefore, will offer our exhibitors the best chance to introduce their
products to Asia. He added, "We believe FHA is the most important
show in Asia for creating new trade links between Cyprus and the Asia-Pacific
region."
The
Cyprus stand will showcase a range of products such as traditional Halloumi
cheese, juices, frozen food, puff pastries, bulgur wheat, fruit drink powders,
wine and spirits, as well as fresh vegetables and fruits, while the Greek delegation
will be showcasing a range of made-in-Greece food and beverage products.
FHA also features its largest ever Singaporean pavilion this time round. With
over 42 companies participating under its umbrella, this is the largest contingent
of Singaporean companies that has ever taken part in a food & hospitality
exhibition in Singapore or abroad.
Leading industry players from Singapore such as Owl International, Freshening
Industries, Thong Siek, Chinatown Food, Kwong Cheong Thye, Aalst Chocolate,
Tai Hua, Seah's Spices, Sunfresh, Tee Yih Jia, Hai's, Super Coffeemix, Prima,
Sin Mui Heng, Sin Hwa Dee, Amoy and Khong Guan will also be present at FHA2006.
"FHA plays a pivotal role in creating an ideal environment in which new
business opportunities can be created and new products can be launched. The
presence and continued participation from leading players in the local and international
food industry attests to the importance and relevance of shows like these,"
said Ting Siew Mui, project director for Lifestyle Events, Singapore Exhibition
Services.
Food&HotelAsia2006 will be held in conjunction with seven other specialised
events, namely, FoodAsia, Hostec-Asia, Wine& SpiritsAsia, BakeryAsia, HotelAsia,
Hospitality StyleAsia, and the FHA Culinary Challenge.
