BITE 2006: Focussed forum

ETW Staff - Mumbai

BITE 2006 is expected to receive around 18,000 serious holiday seekers from Bahrain, Qatar and Saudi and other neighboring countries. The event provides an opportunity for the customer to check out various first-hand offers with regards to holiday options for 2006.

Abraham John, executive director, Magnum Events and Exhibitions Management (MEEM), said, "We have identified the need to customise and tailormake the BITE as a forum for the customer. At the event, they will benefit from the best packages offered from airlines, hotels and tour operators from across the world."

BITE 2006 is not only for the serious tourist and holiday seeker, but also a focussed forum for B2B relationships. This year, the exhibition will additionally offer an opportunity for exhibitors to participate in specialist seminars and conferences.

BITE has been conceived as a Travel and Tourism platform to capitalise on the ever-growing tourism market in the region, especially the MICE market. Today BITE has entered the International Calendar of Travel and Tourism Expos around the world.

Encouraging response from the travel industry
BITE 2005 brought together 42 exhibitors representing 15 different countries and drew over 12,000 visitors over its three-day show. The event has generated keen interest from travel agents, airlines, international hotel chains, tourism boards and tourist operators from across the world. Hisham Al Baradie, chairman, MEEM, said, "BITE 2005 provided a customer-oriented focus and the exhibitors were delighted at the turnout of serious holiday seekers. We are happy at the overwhelming response BITE 2006 has already received from participants representing the tourism industry worldwide."
