TravelWorld 2006

Garners Support From Indian States And NTOs

Following its unprecedented success in 2005, TravelWorld 2006 is already garnering stupendous support from international buyers, Indian and international exhibitors. Almost four months away and the exhibition already boasts of participation from most of the leading state tourism boards and a wide variety of international participants.

TravelWorld 2006 which will unfold at the Bandra-Kurla Complex in Mumbai from February 2nd to 5th, 2006 has also gathered support from the private sector, both within the country and outside. Some of the highlights include hosting 200 local buyers from over 20 states, including 50 from Mumbai alone, and offering international sellers a unique chance to meet leading travel business heads from India under one roof.

TravelWorld 2006 promises four days of buyer-seller interaction across various levels of the industry. The International Hosted Buyer Programme, a unique networking opportunity, will give Indian sellers an immediate competitive advantage by providing them an interface with 250-plus buyers from across the world. Additionally, the event will also give exhibitors an opportunity to interact with more than 3,000 walk-in travel trade visitors over four days of the show. Some of the distinct features of TravelWorld 2006 include three-hour focussed seminar programmes on each of its four days and separate domestic, international and medical tourism pavilions.

"The positive feedback from last year's event has only spurred this event to greater heights and many more innovations will be introduced this year. Some of the prominent Indian and international trade professionals were extremely impressed by TravelWorld 2005 and gave us an overwhelming response," says Sandeep Khosla, head - Business Publications Division of the Indian Express Group, the organisers of this mega travel show. TravelWorld is well-attended by relevant industry professionals both from India and abroad and is an ideal opportunity to catch up with existing clients, make new contacts, generate leads and initiate B2B networking. The event is also a good opportunity for companies to position themselves as key players in the industry. TravelWorld is supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, international organisations like PATA, WTO, WTTC and other Indian travel trade associations such as TAAI, IATO, TAFI, ADTOI, ETAA, FHRAI, HAI, etc.
