Italian Tourism Companies To Participate In Road Shows

ENIT (Italian State Tourism Board) in India aims to conduct road shows in five
metros during the annual `Festa Italiana 2005' event. The event, organised by
the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IICCI), will be held in
November 2005. The event, which is in its fourth edition, will be held in Mumbai,
Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata and Delhi simultaneously from the 20 to 30 November
2005 and will cover topics like fashion, wine and food, design and architecture,
jewellery, art and culture, education, publishing, automotive design, film,
travel, and business.
Speaking about the plans of the tourism board, Salvatore
Ianniello, representative of ENIT in India, said, "A delegation of 30 Italian
companies will participate in the road show, which will include a seminar, followed
by an interactive workshop between Italian and Indian tour operators. The seminars
will be attended by important Indian personalities along with some prominent
speakers from the Italian industry, who will focus on the various elements which
make Italy a suitable destination for the Indian traveller. Special emphasis
will be given to present Italy as a multi-faceted destination.
