Express Hotelier & Caterer Now... Express Hospitality

The mystery of the front page advertisement on the October 3, 2005 issue of the Express Hotelier & Caterer that read 'This is the last issue of this magazine' was finally laid to rest at the 41st FHRAI Convention.

The Unveiling Act: (L-R) Rajeev Talwar, additional director general, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, John Bell, president, IH&RA, Sheldon Santwan, editor, Express Hospitality, Shyam Suri, secretary general, FHRAI and Rudd Reuland, director, Ecole Hoteliere de Laussane

The Express Hotelier & Caterer relaunched in its new avatar - Express Hospitality - to much appreciation and kudos from the hospitality industry at the recently held FHRAI Convention in Chennai.

Cutting the ribbon and unveiling the new publication were John Bell, president, International Hotel & Restaurant Association (IH&RA) and Rajeev Talwar, additional director general, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. Speaking on the new publication, Sheldon Santwan, editor, Express Hospitality, said, "The hospitality industry is at a stage of a metamorphosis, therefore, it is only natural for India's No 1 Hospitality Business publication to keep pace with changing times and adopt a new look, new feel and new approach to providing the industry with much more news, analysis and insights."

"I wish Express Hospitality all the very best in their future endeavours and I am confident that they will continue being the leading publication for the hospitality trade," expressed Rajeev Talwar.

Congratulating the Express Hospitality team in its efforts, Shyam Suri, secretary general, FHRAI, said, "With hospitality in India on upward spiral movement, a trade publication such as Express Hospitality is the need of the hour. And their new product will continue its successful streak like its predecessor."
