International Travel House, Pune, recently was presented the Recognition of Achievement Certificate by Air Sahara. Gulu Jagtiani, regional manager (West) presented the certificate to K K S Rawat, business head of Travel House Pune at a Jet Airways awards ceremony for the Pune region held in Hotel Bentota Beach Resort, Sri Lanka. Subsequently, the company also won the 'Outstanding Team of International Travel House with business head K K Rawat along with support team Jet Airways Pune headed by Rajdev Bhattacharya

Swiss International Air Lines recently held its Top Agents 2004 Award Ceremony at the Mayfair Rooms in Mumbai. Top performers were felicitated for their support extended towards Swiss International Air Lines for the year 2004. The awards were followed by an exotic Swiss evening with traditional delicacies and foot tapping music.


'State'ly Awards

At the recent State Tourism Awards function organsied by the Kerala Government, E M Najeeb, chairman, The Great India Tour Company (GITC) received the Best Tour Operator Award from the Kerala chief minister, Oomen Chandy. The department of tourism, government of Kerala, institutes these awards and GITC received the award for the third consecutive year. Subsequently, Dr G Vijayaraghavan, vice-chairman, Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences also received an award from the chief minister for promoting health tourism and pioneering in the field of Medical Tourism.

DOTW Sets Shop In Delhi With Fanfare

Destinations of the World (DOTW) recently inaugurated its head office in Delhi. Seen here is Keith Fernandez, founder of DOTW, with Rajiv Duggal, CEO of DOTW Subcontinent. This was followed by a launch party, which saw the who's-who of the travel fraternity having a gala time. With branch offices in Bangalore, Mumbai and Chennai, the wholesale travel company plans to reach every nook and cranny of the subcontinent in the near future.
