Dubai Tourism Abuzz With Activity
As per industry sources, there has been a 20 per cent growth approximately in the Indian outbound season this year and Indian travellers are always on the look for something new and exciting. Considering the development and buoyant market, Dubai tourism is all set to grab a good share of this outbound pie. bmi Commences Mumbai-London Service
The Indian aviation scenario is suddenly witnessing a spurt of international carriers and the latest airline to join the bandwagon is British air carrier bmi. The airline recently launched its four-times-a-week Mumbai-London service than would be soon converted to a daily service and said it was exploring the idea of introducing services to other Indian cities.

Realising the fact that the Indian tourism industry amounts to three per cent of the country's GDP at US$ 13.6 billion and the country being ranked as the second fastest growing travel economy in the world and represents 5.6 per cent of all employment, a strategic investment of US$ 10 million (about Rs 43 crore) has been made by a leading private equity fund namely SB Asia Infrastructure Fund (SAIF) in Makemytrip.com.
