Dubai Launches Second Edition Of ‘The Definitive Meeting & Event Planner’s Guide’

Dubai's increasing popularity as a MICE (Meetings, Incentive, Conventions and Exhibition) destination has been attracting encouraging responses from quite a few international organisations, thereby creating a growing demand for promotional and marketing literature.

In order to meet this need, the Dubai Convention Bureau (DCB) at the Dubai Department of Tourism & Commerce Marketing (DTCM) launched the second edition of -The Definitive Meeting & Event Planner's Guide - at the ongoing Worldwide Exhibition for Incentive Travel, Meetings and Events (IMEX-2005) in Frankfurt.

DTCM director general, Khalid A bin Sulayem, said, "The highly-popular guide which has an initial print run of 10,000 copies is targeted at MICE markets. It will be distributed to the international meetings and convention industry decision-makers through the DCB-DTCM's network of 14-worldwide representation offices and at international exhibitions, travel-trade presentations, road shows and other related events."

DCB director, Awadh Al Seghayer, further added that the guide contains separate sections on Dubai as a business city, briefs on venues, accommodation, pre- and post-event activities and a directory of professional services in Dubai.
