Great Narula Holidays Launches Absolutebollywood

Jyoti Koul - New Delhi

Absolutebollywood is intended to be an exotic Bollywood travel collection that would provide travellers an inside view into the world of the Indian film industry

In an effort to create a niche tourism product, Great Narula Holidays recently launched 'Absolutebollywood' in association with the Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT). Absolutebollywood is intended to be an exotic Bollywood travel collection that would provide travellers with an inside view into the world of the Indian film industry. The companies are primarily targeting non-resident Indians (NRIs) through this product and have also launched special packages for inbound as well as domestic travellers. The packages would include visits to a 'working' film studio, interaction with the biggest directors and workshops on filmmaking. Also on offer is an exclusive seven-day certified programme at the AAFT, which will touch upon subjects like, script writing, screenplays, producing, directing and acting.

Elucidating the need for launching Absolutebollywood, Rajat Roger Narula, CEO, Great Narula Holidays, said, "Keeping the present scenario in view where airfares are cheap, infrastructure is in place, culture and lifestyles are becoming vibrant, Bollywood has the potential to be a fascinating and niche tourism product. Therefore I call it a dose of vitamin B-Bollywood."

The companies have set a target of attracting about 10,000 people this year. The packages include a three-day Mumbai travel collection that includes a visit to Film City in Goregaon. The highlight of the Bollywood travel collection is a week-long Delhi collection that takes a traveller to the film city in Noida (in the national capital region-NCR) and would include, Marwah studios, T-Series studios, Zee TV, and India TV etc. AAFT will provide the film education in terms of direction, production, video editing, sound recording, camera and lighting techniques, graphics and animation, acting, presentation etc.
