New York Cruise Company Eyes More Indian Tourists, Ties-Up With SOTC
Abha Singh - New York
A New York-based adventure cruise company, Gray Line New York Sightseeing,
has tied up with leading tour operator SOTC to route the latter's Indian groups
to 'Beast', a fun and adventure cruise operated on the river Hudson, Tara Nixon,
senior group sales manager, Gray Line New York Sightseeing said.
"Our experience so far shows that the Beast is extremely popular among
Indian tourists to the city. We are yet to figure out what exactly has appealed
to them so much. In any case, we shared this information with tour operator
SOTC and have tied-up with them to route their Indian groups to our fun cruise,"
Nixon said.
SOTC Tours meanwhile has listed a ride on the Beast in the second day of its
itinerary for an 18-day 'All of USA' tour. "This way, Indian tourists visiting
the city through SOTC will definitely not miss a chance at this fun ride,"
she added.
Beast is a thrilling 30-minute cruise that speeds at 45 mph
on the Hudson giving tourists a view of the Manhattan skyline and the Statue
of Liberty. "It is also a perfect product for tourists with limited time
since most cruises are at least three to four hours' long," Nixon said.
