TAAI (NR) Tees Off With Amadeus

The third annual TAAI Northern Region (NR) golf tournament was recently held at the Qutab Golf Course, New Delhi. The tournament was sponsored by Amadeus and saw participaton from prominent personalities of the travel industry. It was on a stable-ford basis organised by Rajji Rai, chairman - TAAI (NR) and Sanjay Dutta, coordinator of the Sports Cell of TAAI (NR) in association with Amadeus.

Flying High

The National Summit organised by ASSOCHAM and held in New Delhi saw digniteries from the aviation and tourism industry discuss and debate the current scenario and future potential of both industries

 

Up, Close & Personal With SAT

South African Tourism (SAT) recently conducted interactive trade workshops in Mumbai and Delhi with over 35 South African trade partners participating.

These workshops proved to be an extremely collaborative platform for over 150 representatives of the Indian travel trade to explore business opportunities and mingle with the newly appointed country manager Lance Littlefield. The gala evening function was arranged by South African Tourism in Mumbai and Delhi were graced by Nalini Gupta and Manoj Papa of South African Airways.

Corporates Bowled By Austrian Airlines

Austrian Airlines held a bowling tournament for corporate houses in New Delhi. The tournament witnessed the participation of 64 corporate personnel from companies like Swarovski, World Bank, E-Funds, Schiender, Cadence, EXL etc. The winners’ team E-funds was awarded with a trophy and two economy class

tickets to Vienna. The runners up Swarovski was awarded with a gift hamper. The event was followed up by drinks and dance at Nyx.

 

French Lure

Maison De La France along with Air France held three-city interactive workshops in Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai. Emminent guests from the travel and tourism industry apart from transacting serious business were treated to a sumptous spread and French wine.

Meeting Of Minds

The TAAI Northern Region held its regional meeting at Hotel Surya Crowne Plaza, New Delhi. Navaid Desai, DGM of Jet Airways, was the guest speaker and gave a presentation on the future plans of Jet Airways for its international flights. Post-meeting, a get together was arranged at the Mirage, an exclusive night club at the Crowne Plaza.

 

Carnival Time

TAAI Northern Region recently held its most popular annual feature - The Annual Carnival. The event was held at the Pisces Garden and saw participation from over 500 members from the travel and tourism fraternity. The Carnival hosted a plethora of events like elephant rides, giant wheel, games for children apart from excellent music and interesting competitions. The entire event was sponsored by Amadeus India and Jet Airways.

TSI Celebrates 18 Years Of Success

Travel Spirit International (TSI) recently organised a get-together at Silver Oak in New Delhi to cherish its 18-year association with the travel trade and introduced a new product line in ‘Outbound Tours - 2005’. The event saw Salsa dancers with the new brochure highlighting Spain as the main destination. The brochure was released by Amitabh Kant, joint secretary, ministry of tourism, government of India. The occasion saw guests from across the travel and tourism industry.
