It was indeed
my pleasure to have attended the aviation summit conducted by The Indian
Express Group. The Aviation Summit was excellently organised and well attended
by all the relevant people from the Civil Aviation industry and the travel
fraternity. I would like to congratulate the entire team of people involved
in organising the Summit and making it a success. |

The event as a whole was good but the international
pavilion could have had better participation. There were a lot of visitors
who were interested about the products showcased but in my opinion the
business transaction should only get better next year around. On the other
hand, all the conferences held were very informative.

Going by the
participation of the sellers and the volume of business conducted at TravelWorld
2005, the event was certainly a grand success. I wish The Indian Express
Group all the very best in future. It was truly a welcome experience, one
that I definitely enjoyed. |

The Indian Express Group has put in significant
efforts to design and organise a travel trade event at this level. What
I liked best about the event was the inclusion of medical tourism. I particularly
appreciated the medical tourism seminar, which I found very informative.
The seminar definitely outperformed itself and exceeded many of my expectations.

It was definitely a good start and an excellent
initiative. Events like this should be encouraged and developed in order
to boost the travel and tourism industry. With its initial success TravelWorld
2006 should have more international and domestic participation both in
terms of buyers and sellers.

TravelWorld
2005 highlighted many issues pertinent to the travel industry. But I believe
that the success of any such event becomes evident only when there is implementation
of the ideas and suggestions otherwise all the deliberations and discussions
remain meaningless. Overall the show was really grand and very professionally
managed. The event had the right mix of business and glamour. I hope that
next year TravelWorld 2006 is just as comprehensive, colourful and definitive,
as it was this year. |

The Indian Express Group has done a commendable
job in conceiving an event that has provided a positive platform to showcase
the tourism wealth India has to offer. The speakers at the seminars provided
rich and diverse perspectives on issues and concerns facings the travel
industry today. In future, I believe that this show must be organised
on a much bigger scale with adequate support from the Government of India.
Moreover, there should be more state tourism bodies participating in this
event.

It was a world-class exhibition both at the participation
level as well as the calibre of people visiting and the type of response
it generated. Overall, I would say that the event was streamlined and
really did create a welcome platform to promote a growing state like Karnataka.

The Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation
definitely views Travel World 2005 as a good platform, where we are assured
of a relevant and large audience. In addition, we have received enquiries
from people visiting other pavilions at this show like Medical Tourism,
International pavilion and Hospitality pavilion.

Gauging by the number of enquiries that we received,
we definitely received a good response at the event. In addition we met
several tour operators eager about promoting medical tourism in the country
through SRMC which was very encouraging. In my experience I have never
come across a trade event organised in India on such a grand scale with
a diverse number of pavilions under one single roof.

The first two days of the show were very fruitful.
The business sessions were exceptional, especially the Aviation Summit
that was the highlight of TravelWorld 2005. However, the inaugural session
was a tad lengthy. Since the event was restricted to the trade, it ensured
the quality of visitors received. One area of improvement that can be
looked into is that the medical tourism section could be in a separate
pavilion.

TravelWorld 2005 was a very good show and well-organised.
The business sessions and their topics were well chosen. The response
generated by the event should be even better next year. I wish this show
all the success for the future.

It is very important to make our presence felt.
To do this, we regularly participate at trade events on a national level.
We see the trade as a very important and immediate audience from the point
of view of business development and forging partnerships. Their approach
is different and the interaction is far more substantial. There are many
new aspects about Rajasthan, particularly in the area of eco-tourism which
we aim to highlight at this event. TravelWorld 2005 is the perfect launchpad
in that respect.

In my opinion TravelWorld 2005 provided a broad
yet an in depth platform for interaction with Indian travel agents across
the country for us as well as our delegation from Dubai. According to
me the event met my expectations and generated considerable mileage for
Destination Dubai. In simple words it was a good show. Keep it up. Something
that differentiates TravelWorld 2005 is that it provides four whole days
for buyer-seller meet and thus leads to quality interaction and more productive
business. In my opinion it should also be held in other key cities across
the country.

TravelWorld
2005 was definitely a well-attended show with an informative line up of
conferences. These kinds of travel events serve to build the image of Mumbai
as a business cum tourist destination. I would like to commend The Indian
Express Group for setting up an event of this magnitude in Mumbai. It takes
B2B networking to a whole new level. What could be improved in the coming
years is that the travel trade participation needs to be more active at
such events. |

This is our first experience as far marketing our
products in the western market are concerned and I must confess that we
feel overwhelmed by the response. I have realised my goal as I have successfully
promoted farm tourism and people have really shown a lot of interest in
our products especially farm and golf tourism.

Kudos to The
Indian Express Group for this endeavour of TravelWorld 2005. Participants
were amazed by the exhibition structure and how professionally the whole
show was conducted. Besides this, restricting entry only to the trade was
a wonderful idea, as it helped exhibitors achieve optimal results. All in
all, it created phenomenal opportunities to conduct business meetings on
a global scale. |

The event was
very professional and well organised for a start and should only get consistently
better in the next few years. Going by the participation, it was well attended
by top industry honchos. It was in my opinion a significant platform for
B2B interaction with all the key people in one place. |

Conferences like the Medical Tourism Seminar at
TravelWorld 2005 delved into pertinent issues and further detailed how
the concept has grown in India. Events such as TravelWorld definitely
promote India, boost the country's image as a tourist destination and
last but not the least, make the industry more professional and organised.

I must congratulate The Indian Express Group for
not only was TravelWorld2005 well attended but also proved to be very
enlightening. It was very innovative to add a fun element like workshops
on bartending and cookery. The display of products by the state tourism
boards was fairly impressive and indicated that the participants took
the event very seriously.

The event, for us was a good medium to publicise
Goa and the minister being there added significantly to our brand value.
Besides this, we were very happy with the trade interaction as well as
the positive response we received, which was very encouraging.

The advantage of having a B2B event on the scale
of TravelWorld 2005 is that it caters to a wide spectrum of people, which
includes mid-level staff. The business sessions were very informative
and interesting and the whole event was well organised but what could
be improved next year is the travel participation.

The event was
an excellent first attempt at creating a trade fair specifically for the
B2B medium. We were pleasantly surprised by the number of visitors coming
to transact business from outside the city, although, trade participation
from Mumbai could have been better. What was particularly interesting and
eye opening was the Civil Aviation Summit that brought to the forefront
many issues relevant to the aviation industry. |

Having represented
the InterContinental Dubai at TW 2005, I was rather keen to gather market
information. With this end in mind, it was interesting to meet a broad range
of travel trade and related industries. Travels agents and tour operators
were in good attendance. Consultants and niche market travel agents gave
a very good perspective of the outbound travel business in India and Mumbai
in particular. We received a very positive response. In fact we received
several inquiries for rates, allocations and group and conference bookings.
All channels of the travel industry here are very keen to work with us and
we have also received many interesting invitations to offer our hotel's
products and participate in leading corporate promotions for the major companies.
The future looks very promising. We recognise the tremendous potential that
exists in the vibrant Indian market for outbound travel to Dubai and would
like to attract many more Indian travels to our hotel. |

The response we received at TravelWorld 2005 could
be considered quite okay, but, the flow of general public at a trade show
must be restricted. We did meet many agents who have either heard about
us, so this was a good opportunity to meet them personally face to face
and discuss things. It is good and we hope to have better next time.
