Emirates Holidays Offers More Than Dubai

Plans Roadshows In March 2005

Charmaine Fernz - Mumbai

Emirates Holidays, a successful entrant to the Indian travel fraternity in 2004 has strategic plans lined out. Elaborates Tarique Khatri, business head - India, Emirates Holidays, “Being part of the Emirates Group, the Indian travel trade is of the idea that we cater only to the Dubai market, but in actuality, we offer a whole gamut of destinations. We offer a variety of unexplored options in Europe, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, the newly introduced Seychelles and much more. Subsequently, being a wholesale tour operator and catering to the upper end of the holiday market, we offer good quality hotels ranging from three to five-star properties, which are definitely personally chosen by our professionals.” Elucidating the passenger convenience offered by the company, Khatri explained that, “Our passengers are provided a hassle-free holiday right from touching base at the airport, a Mercedes private car transfers our passengers to their hotel. Simultaneously, what differentiates us from the rest is the fact that we offer self drive options in Europe, which is very exotic. There are some unique destinations on offer like Greece, Malta, Russia and many more.”

Having spelt out the plans and offers, Khatri further detailed what’s in store for the travel trade. “We plan to hold multi-city roadshows in March in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad and others. At these roadshows, we also would launch our product ’Tradenet’, which is an on-line quotation system. An agent who registers with us can use this system to quote prices directly from Tradenet but cannot book. This system has been launched keeping in mind the changing fare system and the hassles it creates in promoting packages. The fares published on this site are covered along with the requisite commissions. We are also working out our upcoming summer packages for the outbound season which would be announced soon.”
