Qantas Flying High

To commemorate the relaunch of its Mumbai-Sydney flights, Qantas Airways accorded special recognition to its top ten “High Flyers” by presenting their productivity awards for 2003-04 in Sydney. The agents also visited the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb, Harley Davidson tour, “The Lion King” show and other adventures



 

Marriott International Rides On Indian Roads

Marriott International recently organised a roadshow covering three cities namely Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore. Senior executives from Marriott global sales organisation and hotels from South East Asia, Middle-East, Europe and USA participated in the six-day long event

 


 

The Perfect ‘Beacon-Kingfisher’ Combo

The Kingfisher’s ‘Swimsuit Special’ calendar 2005, shot by photographer Atul Kasbekar, was shot in the South Africa bush, this year with Beacon Holidays as their travel partners. Beacon’s expertise and Kingfisher’s desire for unusual locations resulted in ‘The Swimsuit Special’ being shot in the South African bush. It was shot at Dr Vijay Mallya’s game lodges in Hamilton, Mabula and South Africa’s premier game reserve Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge-known for it’s exclusive bush experience.

 


 

The Swiss Experience

Switzerland Tourism recently held a five-city road to promote the Switzerland Travel Experience (STE) in India. The event saw various Swiss companies present their company’s offering to the Indian travel trade. The roadshow and traditional Swiss evenings also saw the whose’s who from the travel fraternity along with mouth-watering delicacies

 


 

Korean Delicacies

Korea National Tourism Organization (KNTO) held its first ever Korean Food Festival in New Delhi, India. HE Choi Jung-il, ambassador, Republic of Korea, and Shashank, former foreign secretary and a former ambassador of India to Korea, inaugurated the festival

 


 

Air Canada Hits A Sixer

Air Canada recently organised their ‘Air Canada Double Wicket Tournament’ for TAs in New Delhi. Balmer Lawrie won the final match that was played against Diplomatic Travels. The winners were honored by Rajiv Khetrapal, vice-president, IndoRama Ltd and Sachin Sahani from 93.5 FM

Tourism Australia and Billabong High joined hands to celebrate the spirit of Australia with ‘Oz Fete - A Day Down Under’ at Billabong High School, Mumbai. The event provided wholesome edutainment to students, teachers and parents of Billabong High, Kangaroo Kids Education Ltd and select schools across Mumbai
