Raman Mohan

With its 10th year anniversary celebrations and the official launch of Emirates Holidays in India's commercial capital - Mumbai, Dubai is all set for its upcoming and much-acclaimed Dubai Shopping Festival in the New Year. Commenting on Emirates Holidays plans for the event, Raman Mohan, business head - India, Emirates Holidays said, "The Dubai Shopping Festival is an ideal opportunity for us as it is one single event that attracts tremendous crowd from the worldover. Subsequently, being owned by Emirates, we have the advantage of offering our customers seat allocation that is easily available. To specially promote DSF 2005, Emirates Holidays has come about with a range of special offers for Indians which ranges from as low as US$ 465 to US$ 1,187 on a twin sharing basis, which includes return airfare in economy class on Emirates, three-nights accommodation with buffet breakfast in a three/four/five-star hotel, airport assistance on arrival at Dubai, transfers airport-hotel-airport by a private car, room tax and service charges and an additional 10 kgs free baggage allowance. This offer is valid from January 12 till February 12, 2005."

Elaborating on the company's future plans in India, Mohan mentioned that, "We offer a range of destinations as wherever Emirates operates we cater to those destinations. Taking this aspect into consideration, with the growth of the airline, we grow. We are working closely through travel agents to position this product as a lifestyle option. We are also planning to open an office in the south, which would take some time to finally materialise. However, we are certainly that as of now we are not going the GSA way. With regards to price structure, we are not highly priced but are more or less on the same competitive level as other tour operators. The only thing that sets us apart is that we are brand conscious thereby providing quality in our services to all our customers."
