Amadeus Express Unveils Its Futuristic Product Line Across The Country

Amadeus India organised a product road show called the `Amadeus Express' in Delhi followed by Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kochi and Chennai for travel agents in July 2004. The roadshow that was conducted across the country aimed at generating awareness about Amadeus products and services, along with unveiling futuristic products for the Indian travel trade. The four sessions spread over two days witnessed an attendance of 250 each. The road show highlighted various areas of e-ticketing, state of the art front office system called Amadeus Vista, Satellite Ticket Printing, B2B portal Res4.com and also gave an insight on Amadeus future trends. A similar event was also organised for agents in Kolkata.

Sapna Anand, senior manager product, Amadeus India along with her team took the audience through all the major front office systems and also gave a sneak preview on the forthcoming products. Raghav Bhasin, senior executive e-travel and back office products gave an insight into the e-world, explaining the Internet, e-commerce and back office offerings that Amadeus has in store.

Karun Budhraja, deputy general manager-marketing and corporate communications, Indian sub-continent, Amadeus, engaged the audience into one to one questions, wherein each right answer won a gift sponsored by Amadeus and its sponsors. The co-sponsors who took the initiative in this training and development road show were Air Sahara, Malaysia Airlines and TATA AIG. Sub-sponsors included Indian Airlines and Myanmar Airways International, while the sponsors were Air Tel, Bajaj Allianz, Balijee Hotels, Bird Education Society for Travel and Tourism, Royal Nepal Airlines and Taj Hotels and Resorts. Partners - Air-India, Altalia, Iran Air, Jet Airways, Kenya Airways, Qantas, Qatar Airways and Swiss International Air Lines.
