CX To Launch Third Daily Sydney Service
Cathay Pacific Airways (CX) recently announced it would be operating three times
daily to Sydney with the October 31st launch of a new early morning service
that is part of an expanded new winter schedule. Overall, the airline will add
16 weekly scheduled departures out of Hong Kong, bringing total passenger services
to 511 flights. With the start of the winter schedule on October 31, 2004, passenger
services to Manila will increase from 35 to 37 weekly flights and Surabaya will
go from three to four services a week. Brisbane will now have daily flights,
up from five flights a week, and two more services to Auckland will take its
weekly total to 12. In all, Cathay Pacific will operate 63 passenger services
per week between Hong Kong and Australia and New Zealand. From December 1, the
airline adds two weekly services to Dubai, taking it to 13 flights a week.
EK Launches Exclusive Fares To NY
Emirates
announced 'seasonal fares' on their recently launched passenger service from
India to New York via Dubai. The special fares are valid for outbound travellers
from September 21, 2004 to December 15, 2004. Senior citizens can avail of the
offer till March 3, 2005. The airline has also announced special return fares
for passengers travelling to New York across all classes. Mumbai economy and
business class passengers can avail the discounted fares of Rs 47,315 and Rs
1,36,000 respectively. While passengers travelling from Delhi are offered a
price of Rs 45,160 and Rs 1,36,000 for economy and business class respectively.
Hyderabad and Kochi passengers are offered Rs 57,100 for economy and Rs 1,48,000
for business, while a passenger travelling from Chennai are offered Rs 45,160
for economy and Rs 1,40,650 for business. First Class passengers from all destinations
are offered Rs 2,62,905. The offer is valid from September 21, 2004 to December
15, 2004.
