TTDC, Apollo Hospitals Unite To Launch Privilege Coupon

Medical tourism is a key segment of the Tamilnadu tourism industry today. The Tamilnadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) has realised this and is taking initiatives to make sure that Tamilnadu proves to be a major hub for Medical tourism. TTDC in unison with the Apollo Hospitals headquartered in Chennai recently launched a travellers privilege coupon called the ‘Apollo Hospitals - TTDC Preventive Health Care Package.’

Aadi Rajaram, Chairman, TTDC, Shatikanta Das, IAS, MD, TTDC and Commissioner - Tourism, along with Preetha Reddy, MD, Appollo Hospitals Group, George Eapen, CEO, Apollo Hospitals and Ashok Ananthram, president - Business Development, Apollo Hospitals toegther launched this package at the Tamilnadu Tourism Complex. According to George Eapen CEO, Apollo hospitals “The main aim of this package is to promote the domestic tourism segment which in this case is the Tamil Nadu tourism segment.” This package gives tourists a 15 per cent discount on Apollo preventive Health Check.

Those tourists who take any of the TTDC tour packages can use this coupon and a health check can be conducted at any of the Apollo Hospitals or clinics across the country. This coupon comes along with the ticket purchased for any of the tour packages orgnaised by TTDC. The ticket contains details of the Apollo hospitals and clinics, information on importance of preventive healthcare and the advantages of the package. “TTDC was willing to join hands with us to introduce this new package.If tour operators and other private players come forward then we will introduce other such schemes as well,” adds George Eapen, when asked the reason to choose only the TTDC tours for this privilege coupon.

The coupons can be purchased at either TN Tourism, Chennai or at the TTDC counter at EVR Salai, Chennai. In addition, the discount has no time limit and can be availed at any of the Apollo hospitals or clinics on producing the ticket.
