TMI Is Looking At Enhancing Online Booking

Charmaine Fernz - Mumbai

Dharmendra Gursahni

Travelmartindia.com better known as TMI, which has been a steady online travel vertical is optimistic of the resurgent online boom. Says Dharmendra Gursahni, managing director, Travelmartindia.com, "In the past year, we have spent nearly half a million dollars on our CRM tools, which is a process driven system. With Indians getting more technology savvy, our registered users on the website are increasing by the day, at the moment we have 50,000 registered users. This increase can be substantiated by 20 to 25 per cent increase per month. We have also noticed that 70-75 per cent of our business is through packages booked through the web. In that regard, we would be spending a lot on branding. This would essentially be in the form of events. It has also been noticed that the concept e-ticketing will fast increase transactions on the net and internet users will soon witness more mergers and acquisitions happening in the vertical industry."

Gursahni further added that, "With the resurgent online boom, TMI certainly has a USP in the market as being a reliable online travel vertical as it has sustained the online crash and emerged successful. This is evident from the fact that 20 per cent the business comes from online bookings. Taking that ahead, TMI has also created a niche for itself in the market and is gearing up to enhance its online positioning in the industry in the months to come."
