Galileo India Launches Perfect 10 Contest

ET&T Staff - Mumbai

Seema Luthra

To celebrate 10 years of Galileo India’s presence in the market, the company has announced the launch of Galileo India Perfect 10 Contest. According to Seema Luthra, president and CEO, Galileo India, “The promotion is aimed at the travel agency staff and is Galileo’s way of recognising their contribution in its success.”

As a part of this promotion, the travel agency staff will be encouraged to issue as many tickets as possible. All participative entries in the monthly quiz on Galileo India system together with bookings with one or more characters of the word TEN in the Galileo PNR will qualify for a monthly draw. Each month, one lucky winner will win a Grand Prize comprising of tickets for two to any destination in the world. The contest will also entitle four regional monthly winners to a 2night/3days getaway for two, to a destination of their choice in India, from a wide variety of options. Commenting on their presence in the market since a decade, Luthra, added, “Our pioneering initiatives like e-ticketing, satellite ticketing and GIA Plus supported by our extensive nationwide support network have brought out our commitment to maximise the returns on the investments made by our customers. Also, we have effectively backed our product support and provided customised solutions that efficiently meet the unique service requirements faced by the service providers in our diverse country on a sustained basis, over the last TEN years.” Galileo India has also been the first CRS to receive IATA certification to launch e-ticketing in the country almost ten months ago. Thirteen leading international airlines now offer e-ticketing through travel agents connected by the Galileo India System. The ever-increasing acceptance of e-tickets tickets by passengers across India owing to their ease of use have resulted in significant cost savings for both the agents and the airlines. Having realised the inherent product advantages offered by e-ticketing, travel agents are now aggressively promoting the concept.
