Galileo Express Travel & Tourism Awards

After a rip roaring success in 2003, Galileo India, India's leading Global Distribution Services company for the airline and travel industries, along with Express Travel & Tourism from the Business Publications Division of the Indian Express Group, will once again set the stage aflame with the much-awaited 'Galileo Express Travel & Tourism Awards 2004' to honour organisational and individual excellence among travel industry professionals. The event, scheduled to be held in Delhi at the end of November, will once again see Columbus, the symbol of the Galileo-Express Travel & Tourism Awards, honour professionals across categories such as airlines, travel agencies, tour operators, tourism boards and many more.

After receiving suggestions and feedback from the industry post the 2003 Awards, we incorporated these suggestions into the decision making and award category selection process in an endeavour to make it completely transparent. Following a series of meetings with the Advisory Board of Express Travel & Tourism, who consist of stalwarts like Ankur Bhatia, Vijay Chadda,Yogesh Chandra, Saroj Datta, Ashok Fenn, Subhash Goyal, Cyrus Guzder, Zubin Karkaria, Ashwini Kakkar, Khursheed Lam, Seema Luthra, Tej Sahni, Alok Sawhney, Ashish Kumar Singh, Prem Subramaniam both in Mumbai and Delhi, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India Pvt Ltd, consultants and research partners to this exclusive affair have finalised the various criteria and categories. The nomination forms will be distributed in the first half of July across all the various segments of the industry.

2. Best Outbound tour operator
3. Best Business tour operator
4. Best Domestic tour operator
3. Best domestic airline
4. Best international airline west bound from India
5. Best international airline east bound from India
6. Best state tourism board
7. Best international tourism board
8. Two Hotel Awards
9. Best Promotional Campaign
10. Best technology Award
11. Editor's choice awards

The nomination criterion will focus on creativity in vision and enhancement in work and will be measured against stringent qualitative and quantitative industry benchmarks in order to determine the highest standards of excellence practiced.

The winners once selected will be awarded at the 'Galileo-Express Travel & Tourism Awards night, a glamourous event will play host to the top brass of the Indian travel industry from across India with professionals and celebrities from various stratas of society.
