Osaka Air Travels Ventures Into Domestic Travel

Domestic tourism is fast becoming a trend amongst travel agents and tour operators alike. In keeping with changing times, Osaka Air Travels Pvt Ltd. has recently ventured into inbound tourism, by the name of Osaka Leisure Tours. Says P B Boss, founder, Osaka Air Travel, "We will like to promote Kerala in particular and India as a tourism destination". They would emphasise more into pilgrimage and medical tourism. Adding further Mohan Rao, tour co-ordinator of Osaka Leisure Tours, "We have already started discussions with Goa Tourism, MTDC, APTDC, KSTDC and ITDC for reciprocal understandings. Even though we would like to concentrate on medical and pilgrimage tourism, we also would like to promote adventure and leisure tourism for all our classes."

Some of the tour packages sold by them include, Munnar-Thekkady, Munnar-Thekkady-Kumarakom, Kochi-Munnar-Thekkady-Kumarakom, Kochi-Munnar-Thekkaddy-Kumarakom-Kovalam-Trivandrum, Calicut-Wayanad and Palakkad-Nelliampathy-Parambikulam wildlife sanctuary.

Boss and P P Augustine founded Osaka Air Travel, in 1993. OAT is one of the closest IATA air-ticketing agencies with complete stock of tickets of all airlines. They also have an approval from the Reserve Bank of India as an authorised moneychanger. In 2002, OAT procured permission for international money transfers from Western Union Money Transfer.
