Saj Flight Services Bags Mercury Award

For the first time in the history of aviation catering an in-flight catering company in India bagged the Mercury Award. SAJ Flight Services, an aviation catering company started its operations in 1982 at Trivandrum with India's national carrier Air-India and thereafter-catering operations were extended to Chennai, Calicut, Kochi and Bangalore.

The relentless pursuit of research and innovative catering led Saj to perfect the art of in-flight catering, which was recognised by the International In-flight Catering Association (IFCA, England) and awarded the Silver Mercury Award for the year 2003 at Nice, France.

The Mercury Award is given every year to airlines, caterers or companies related to the aviation industry for innovation, customer satisfaction, quality in service and positive environmental impact. The reliability, consistency, professional standards, adoption of new technology and state-of-the-art facilities made SAJ, the pioneers in aviation catering in India.
