The award for the Best Inbound Tour Operator was based on the following factors:

• l Gross foreign exchange receipts from inbound operations in US$. These receipts pertain only to the company mentioned and from inbound tour operations and did not include receipts from other ancillary businesses. The period stipulated was from April 1, 2002 to March 31, 2003.
• l Number of foreign tourists brought into India (clients serviced).
• l Number of brochured tour packages actually run by the organisation in the last year.
• l Net profit/loss from operations of the last fiscal year before any appropriations.

In addition to the above, the chartered accountant of the nominee certified all financial statements submitted.
